Because of you

The joy and surprise on her face when she realized that the car was actually a gift to her was wonderful to see! She immediately took it for a drive, adjusted the seats and mirrors and tested everything to see how it worked! It was a gift which she accepted and embraced and it gave her the independence she had longed for. She had a huge smile on her face!

Accepting a gift is never passive, it requires a decision to accept it and it is only beneficial once you actually use it and enjoy it.

Because of you

God created the heavens and the earth. Because He wanted fellowship with man, He created man in his image, the climax of all creation, to reign and rule over the earth, to procreate and fill the earth and to live in relationship with Him. (See Genesis 1)

God gave man a free will, so that you would not be a programmed machine, having no other option as to love and worship God, but an intelligent individual who has the choice to indulge in sin, or to accept God and his divine nature enabling you to overcome sin.  In Joshua 24:15 we read what Joshua’s answer was to this choice each of us face: “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

God’s Word states quite clearly that we are all sinful and therefore unable to come into the presence of a Holy God. Paul says in Romans 3:23  “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” and David makes it even clearer in Psalm 51:5 “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

Because of you

God provided a bridge between sinful man and Holy God by sending His only Son Jesus  to live as man and die for man, providing the ultimate sin sacrifice for humanity – and therefore also for you.

By accepting Jesus, God’s Son, you cross the bridge into the presence of a Holy God, and enter into His provision and grace for your life.  “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all…1 Tim 2:5-6.   “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6

 Because of you

Jesus conquered death and rose after three days in the grave, enabling you to live in victory over sin.

The Amplified Bible describes this process beautifully:  “Every priest stands at his altar of service ministering daily, offering the same sacrifices over and over, which are never able to strip away sins that envelop and cover us;  whereas Christ, having offered the one sacrifice,the all-sufficient sacrifice of Himself, for sins for all time, sat down, signifying the completion of atonement for sin, at the right hand of God, the position of honor, waiting from that time onward until his enemies are made a footstool for His feet. For by the one offering He has perfected forever and completely cleansed those who are being sanctified, bringing each believer to spiritual completion and maturity.”Hebrews 10:11-14

 Because of you

Jesus left the earth to prepare a heavenly home for you where you will live eternally once you leave this earth.

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:1-3

Because of you

God sent his Holy Spirit to live in your heart to guide you, council you, comfort you and remind you of God’s word and promises on a daily basis. “But here’s the truth: It’s to your advantage that I go away, for if I don’t go away the Divine Encourager will not be released to you. But after I depart, I will send him to you.” John 16:7-13 The Passion Translation

The triune God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit loves YOU and offers you the potential of forgiveness, reconciliation with the Father and a relationship with the Holy Spirit who enables you to step into the destiny God has planned for your life. There is hope after failure, there is meaning after wasted years, there is more to be discovered, more to learn, beautiful relationships to step into, people to be touched and changed. The gift of life in abundance is available …….. for you!
